The Rise of Civilizations

Civilizations appears now to have begun as far back as 12,000 years ago, and more likely even further than that.  They also appear to have sprung up or bloomed into being all at once, under different geographic locations.  I have an article on this subject on Infobarrel called The Rise of Civilizations.
